In July, 20-year-old Tameria Clark from Mississippi was arrested in connection to the death of 20-year-old Jaderius Webb. Webb’s body was found in a burned vehicle at a Memphis impound lot. Clark faces charges of arson, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. The investigation into the case has been ongoing for several months.

According to a statement obtained by Action News 5, the saga began when the Memphis Police Department and Memphis Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Weaver Road and Tully Road. The car, a black 2004 BMW 545i, was discovered fully engulfed in flames. Two days after the fire, officers conducting an inventory of burnt vehicles were to find a badly burnt body in the BMW's backseat, later identified as Webb.

Further investigation revealed that Webb was reported missing by his father on the day of the vehicle fire. Through various interviews and social media scrutiny, authorities eventually pinpointed Clark as a suspect. WREG reports that a search warrant executed at Clark's home uncovered a GMC Terrain linked to the case. Additionally, a social media video posted on July 20 showed Clark at a party, visibly upset, where she allegedly confessed to having done something that would "send her to jail."

At the same party, Clark admitted to witnesses that someone had killed a man in her house and left her to clean up the body, as mentioned by the FOX13Memphis report. She also confessed to burning the body. Clark was later identified in a six-person photo lineup.

Clark, held on a bond of $500,000, is expected to make her courtroom appearance today.
