
The Metropolitan Police Department is in the throes of an investigation following an armed robbery on Georgia Avenue, soliciting the help of the community to track down the suspects. The crime occurred last Sunday, December 22nd, when individuals armed with firearms confronted and robbed a civilian in the 7300 block.
Officers dispatched to the scene after the 8:15 p.m. incident, have obtained surveillance footage that depicts the suspects. It's being used to try and quickly identify and locate the individuals responsible for the robbery. MPD urges the public to watch the video and come forward with any information that could aid in the apprehension of these individuals.
The department's plea is clear-cut: do not approach or take action against the suspects. Instead, they are asking community members with any relevant information to reach out. MPD is looking to swiftly resolve the case, offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. This incentive aims to encourage citizens to participate vigilantly in the safety and welfare of their community
