The Metropolitan Police Department is actively looking for suspects in connection with a shooting that took place in Southwest Washington, D.C. The incident, which unfolded last Saturday, involved a victim who was found conscious and breathing, albeit suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers were called to the scene in the 1100 block of 4th Street, Southwest, at around 9:47 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
The victim received prompt attention from DC Fire and EMS personnel and was transported swiftly to an area hospital to receive treatment for their non-life-threatening injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department has taken the lead on the investigation and is urging anyone with information that could help come forward. To encourage public assistance, the department has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those found to be responsible.
