Governor Roy Cooper announced that NexGen Cabinets Inc., a branch of Honsoar International Ltd., will open an assembly and production facility in Duplin County, NC. The facility will produce kitchen and bathroom cabinets for wholesale markets across the Americas, creating over 40 jobs and investing more than $6.7 million into the local economy.
According to the announcement from the Office of the Governor, NexGen Cabinets will use a new 150,000-square-foot facility in Wallace, NC, to assemble and distribute products across the Americas. Governor Cooper highlighted the region’s strong workforce, affordability, and quality of life as key factors in attracting manufacturers. Tom Boyda, COO of NexGen, praised the collaboration with state and local governments in making the project a reality.

Commerce Secretary Machelle Baker Sanders highlighted the region’s focus on building a strong workforce as a major draw for the company.
