The New York City Police Department is actively seeking information on a robbery that took place in the Bronx earlier this month. In a call for public assistance shared on social media, NYPD Crimestoppers reports that last Wednesday, December 11, an unidentified individual committed an armed robbery at a commercial establishment located at 505 East 163 Street within the jurisdiction of the NYPD 42nd Precinct.
During the incident, the suspect brandished a firearm and subsequently took $320 from a 44-year-old male employee of the store, the details of which have been in circulation through the department's outreach channels as they push for leads in the case. The NYPD Crimestoppers post urges anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that tips can be submitted anonymously through their hotline at 800-577-TIPS or via their website.
There's also a financial incentive for individuals who may be hesitant to share what they know, a reward of up to $3,500 is on the table for anyone with details that could lead to an arrest in this matter. As the days pass since the robbery, the urgency for information increases, and the NYPD continues to canvas the area and review surveillance footage in search of the unidentified suspect.
