A fatal shooting occurred on D Street in Las Vegas last Saturday afternoon. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call at 1:12 p.m. and found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital, but the male victim later died from his injuries. The woman is being treated for her wounds.

Investigations indicate that the victims were involved in a confrontation that escalated into physical violence. A third male at the scene reportedly intervened, firing a weapon and striking both individuals. The suspect then fled the scene before authorities arrived, according to a press release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as detectives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section work to gather details about the incident. Police are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed the event to come forward. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased and the cause and manner of death in due time.
