In a case crossing county lines and raising concern, Park County authorities discovered a man dead in a home on Tuesday, eliciting a response from multiple law enforcement agencies. According to 9NEWS, the Park County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the welfare check call came in Tuesday afternoon, with deputies arriving at a residence in the 1500 block of Campfire Road.
El Paso County officials have been on the search for a missing man, and it appears there may be a connection. "Indirect ties" were found between the individual living at the Park County home and a missing persons case from El Paso County, as noted by KKTV. They're similarly calling for public assistance in locating a 1994 Ford F-150, discernible by a "HUNTER" sticker, that might be on its way to Mississippi or somewhere in Colorado. The vehicle is a component in a broader puzzle involving 37-year-old Stephen Walker's disappearance under what's described as "suspicious circumstances."
The search extends to a duo deemed persons of interest and warned to be armed and dangerous. As reported by Denver7, these include Morris, identified only by the last name, and Hailey Diane Cole, 43. Morris stands at 5 feet 9 inches and carries distinctive ink on his right ear, while Cole measures 5 feet 5 inches with brown hair and blue eyes.
Citizens holding information on the whereabouts of either individual or the Ford truck in question, are urged to contact the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO) directly. Both the Park County Sheriff's Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are working in conjunction with EPCSO to piece together these disquieting events and ensure public safety remains a paramount concern.
