On Monday evening, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. At approximately 5:41 p.m., police responded to a collision at the intersection of 14th Avenue South and South Henderson Street. According to SPD Blotter, a 56-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

Arriving at the hospital with life-threatening injuries, the woman was immediately subjected to life-saving efforts at Harborview Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the car, a 24-year-old male, remained at the scene after the incident. He cooperated with the authorities as they conducted their investigation. It was determined that as the driver made a left turn, he collided with the victim who was in the crosswalk.
