According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, upon their arrival at the scene, police discovered Carmelo Green, a 19-year-old man from District Heights, MD, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. In spite of efforts to save his life, the emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead on the scene after finding no signs consistent with life.
