A fatal hit-and-run crash in Southeast that claimed the life of a Maryland man is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department. According to a press release from the MPD, the incident took place late Monday night, when a Honda Civic attempted to exit a driveway and a speeding Jeep Grand Cherokee collided on the 2600 block of Southern Avenue. The Jeep's operator abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot following the accident, as per MPD.
