Brooklyn has found itself the backdrop of a violent incident reminiscent of the city's grittier past, after a 26-year-old was stabbed on the streets of Bay Ridge. According to a Facebook post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the attack occurred on November 16 but details have emerged slowly as authorities seek public assistance to identify the assailants.
The crime, which occurred in front of 244 73rd Street, involved a young victim who was confronted and subsequently wounded in the torso by two individuals wielding cutting instruments.
A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered as an incentive for anyone with information to come forward. The NYPD urges witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident to contact them at 800-577-TIPS or to submit information anonymously through their website.
