Four years after a mass murder in Aguanga that claimed the lives of seven individuals, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office is still on the hunt for crucial information that might solve the case. On September 7, 2020, deputies were called to a scene of horror where seven victims, all of Laotian descent, were found shot at a property covertly harboring an illicit marijuana operation. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office recently updated the public on the investigation, noting that the case appears to involve targeted violence by gang members from the San Diego area also of Laotian descent. A mid-size dark-colored SUV is being sought in connection with the crime, as per details shared on the Riverside County Sheriff's Office's website.
On the night of the incident, responders discovered a critically injured female adult with gunshot wounds who was quickly sent for medical treatment; despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries. Alongside her, six more victims were found deceased on the premises. Investigators uncovered over 1,000 pounds of marijuana and several hundred marijuana plants, revealing a large illegal growing operation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Although a thorough search was conducted, suspects related to the murders remain at large. The Sheriff's Office, reassures, however, there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
