Police cooperation across city lines led to a dramatic chase and the arrest of two suspects in a series of vehicle burglaries. The information initially came from Rocklin Police Department, who had been investigating burglaries off Pacific Street involving a silver Kia Soul, the Roseville, California Police Department announced on social media.

Rocklin Police Department's tip about the suspects' stolen cards being used at a local Target set off an alert for Roseville police last Friday night, around 7:30 pm. The pursuit began after officers spotted the suspect vehicle in a parking lot near Sunrise Avenue and Cirby Way, occupied by two individuals. An attempt at a high-risk stop backfired as the suspects fled, leading the chase northbound on Sunrise Avenue, then east on Douglas Boulevard before their vehicle collided with an unsuspecting driver's car.

According to the Facebook post by the California Police Department, luckily, the individual in the car hit by the suspects did not sustain serious injuries. The passenger of the suspect's vehicle attempted to escape on foot post-collision but was soon caught. The driver didn't have the chance to flee and was detained on the spot.

Piles of stolen property from the vehicle burglaries in Rocklin were found inside the Kia Soul, tying the arrested individuals directly to the crimes. The California Police Department hailed the incident as, "a great example of teamwork, persistence, and collaboration across agencies." The successful apprehension of these suspects underscores the effectiveness of prompt interdepartmental communication and coordinated action on the part of local law enforcement.
