The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, at approximately 2:40 p.m., when deputies were summoned to Hardy Lane in the vicinity of the Woodleaf community, described by local sources as a rural area roughly 10 miles northwest of Salisbury. Upon arrival at the scene, the man, later identified as Elliott Rudolph Wilds, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. WBTV reported the response timeline and victim's condition.
