Two teenage suspects have been arrested on charges related to a kidnapping case that occurred on San Antonio's West Side, as reported by KSAT. The individuals identified as Anthony Enoch Brown, 18, and Aris Manresa Teixeira, 19, face charges of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon and evading arrest, per Bexar County court records.
According to the police, the victim, a 22-year-old man was eventually found with facial injuries, signifying he had been assaulted with a pistol. This information surfaced when the victim's vehicle, containing four suspects and the victim himself, arrived at the scene while officers were responding to a missing person call initially placed by the victim's parents. The two remaining suspects evaded capture and are still being sought by authorities, according to a Head Topics article.
Details provided by KSAT suggest that the incident unfolded Wednesday night after the report of the missing person led to the discovery of the victim's plight for a $3,000 ransom or face the threat of being killed. The ensuing police operation saw the suspects' vehicle pursued and later stopped on Historic Old Highway 90, where the suspects fled on foot.
While Brown remains in custody at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, Teixeira has bonded out of jail, as mentioned in their custody records. The search efforts for the two suspects at large continue, with the case remaining an active investigation.
