
Seattle Police detectives are in the midst of a homicide investigation following an early morning shooting on Capitol Hill. The incident, which took place near East Pike Street and Broadway, resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man. According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded to the scene after reports of gunfire around 3:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found the victim with gunshot wounds to the torso. Despite immediate emergency medical aid provided by the police and subsequent efforts by the Seattle Fire Department, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was closed off by officers as the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units carried out their preliminary investigation.
Thus far, the suspect remains at large as no arrests have been made.
