Los Angeles residents can look forward to steady weather patterns, with modest day-to-day changes this week, as the National Weather Service reported. The city is set to experience mostly sunny days and the possibility of patchy fog, particularly during the nighttime and early mornings. Temperatures are projected to hover around the 70-degree mark, with today's highs nearing 70 and east-southeast winds shifting from 5 to 10 mph to southerly winds in the afternoon.
As the sun sets, residents should prepare to see increasing clouds and the potential to develop patchy fog after 10:00 P.M., creating a low of around 51 degrees. The fog is expected to linger into the early hours of Monday before a forecasted gradual clearance, with conditions similar to today. The expected absence of significant wind, transitioning to a calm westerly breeze at around 5 mph, should also set the stage for a comfortable start to the week.
The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday promises abundant sunshine and climbing temperatures, reaching highs near 71 and 72 degrees, respectively. The wind will be present but moderate, coming from the north-northeast direction at 5 to 10 mph on Tuesday, with gusts possibly reaching up to 15 mph. As we move into Tuesday night, while it remains partly cloudy, temperatures could dip slightly lower to around 47 degrees. Wednesday night will maintain the trend of mostly cloudy evenings and a low resting near 50.
Looking ahead, Thursday's conditions are predicted to stay mostly sunny with a high near 71, while Thursday night might bring patchy fog after 10:00 P.M. and a barely cooler low around 49 degrees. Friday and Saturday will deliver partly sunny skies, with highs dipping down to near 67, which offers a slight respite from the warmer temperatures earlier in the week. The nights will again be marked by patches of fog and consistent lows around the upper 40s.
