
A teenage suspect has been apprehended following a bold theft from a jeweler in Victorville, law enforcement officials report. The incident, which occurred at Valliani Jewelers within the Mall of Victor Valley, involved a 17-year-old male who allegedly ran off with two necklaces valued at approximately $52,000. According to the SBSD Victorville Police Department, the theft took place on November 16, at around 5:19 p.m.
Details provided by the Sheriff's Department indicate that the young man asked to see two necklaces and subsequently bolted towards the exit with the items in hand. He was seen fleeing into the mall's parking lot and escaping the scene by vehicle. A search warrant served at the Victorville residence of the suspect resulted in his arrest on December 19, without incident.
The juvenile, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, is now facing charges of P.C. 211- Robbery, and P.C. 487- Grand Theft. He was booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center located in Apple Valley, as detailed by the Sheriff's Department.
