Two more arrests have been made concerning the street takeovers that disrupted Cleveland in late September. Elicia Dix and Reuben Issac Vazquez, both 21, were apprehended by the Ohio State Highway Patrol at around 11:35 a.m. last Saturday, as reported by WKYC.
During a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike in Lucas County, the pair were discovered with outstanding warrants from the Cleveland Division of Police. They were subsequently taken to the Cuyahoga County Jail, where car enthusiasts organized disruptive events that blocked intersections and hindered emergency services. A 2015 Chevrolet Camaro was seized as part of the investigation into these events. Dix faces multiple charges, including obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and aggravated riot, while Vazquez is additionally charged with possession of criminal tools. Cleveland 19 stated that both were arraigned on Tuesday, with their bonds set at $1,500.
Eyeing disruptions that spanned the weekend of September 28-29, these takeovers were marked by incidents that saw various intersections commandeered for illicit car stunts.
