The grand scheme of the budget, as stated in the 2025 Financial Plan, expresses the county officials' determination to not only maintain but also enhance Weld County's fiscal well-being. In the words of Commissioner Chair Kevin Ross, Weld County adopts a proudly frugal stance, with a dedication to returning value to taxpayers. "Weld County is proud to continue to provide a mill levy reduction credit to property taxpayers by collecting only what is needed," Ross disclosed, per Weld County. The approved figures set the mill levy at 15.956 mills which directly fund the robust 2025 budget, topped off by an approval of sustaining a temporary mill levy credit of 6.082 mills.
