
The Wixom Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a gas station robbery reported early Saturday morning. According to CBS News Detroit, officers responded to an incident at the Chillbox gas station located at 49435 Grand River Ave. just after 12:20 a.m.
Security footage captured images of the male suspect, whose attire included a black Carhartt jacket, tan pants, and Timberland boots. FOX 2 Detroit reports that the suspect is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, the man was white and entered the store just before 12:30 a.m. yesterday.
The robbery has been described as a strong-arm robbery, indicating that there was no weapon used but involved bodily injury or the threat of injury. The suspect is said to have left the scene in a large black pickup truck. Despite a search of the area by the police, the vehicle and the man were not located.
WWJ Newsradio adds that there is no current information regarding what the suspect took from the gas station or whether anyone was injured during the incident, he's believed to be between 35 and 40 years old. Surveillance photos of the suspect were obtained, and authorities are now turning to the public for assistance.
