An industrial accident at a St. Augustine pavement plant has led to the death of an employee. The incident occurred yesterday morning at Traffic Material Supplier (TMS), located on Industrial Park Drive near State Road 16. TMS specializes in producing granular thermoplastic pavement markings, as reported by News4JAX.
According to First Coast News, emergency crews responded at 10:40 a.m. and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
While details are limited, TMS specializes in manufacturing traffic tape used for road line painting, as noted by Action News Jax.
