A 14-year-old boy was shot and arrested in North Philadelphia's Juniata Park late Monday night. As reported by FOX 29, the incident occurred on the 4500 block of G Street around 11:14 p.m., when the teenager was shot by someone in a Honda vehicle.
Despite a leg injury, the teen returned fire, according to authorities. He was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where his condition was stabilized. He was then arrested for firearm possession, as reported by PHL17. Police recovered .40 caliber casings and a weapon at the scene.
The Shooting Investigation Group is leading the investigation and is searching for the shooter, who has not been identified. No details about the shooter’s motive, appearance, or whether they were injured have been released by police.
According to 6abc, the boy was standing near the roadway when shots were fired from the Honda.
The case remains under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
