
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has moved forward with an arrest in relation to the recent homicide of 33-year-old Diondre Bittle in the University City Division. In a detailed report published by the CMPD, it was confirmed that 35-year-old Sabrina Nayeele Roth has been charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. The arrest, taking place on Thursday, followed a period of dedicated investigative work by the CMPD’s Homicide Unit and was performed by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT).
Following the arrest, Roth was brought to the Law Enforcement Center, where homicide detectives conducted an interview. According to the report by CMPD, after interviewed by detectives, Roth was then transferred to the care of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. During the transport of Roth, she was charged.
