The Fort Worth Fire Department has made some groundbreaking news by appointing Ashley Clement as its first deputy fire director, promising to bring a fresh perspective and expertise to the department's operations. Clement, whose track record spans from healthcare administration to supporting public schools, is set to bring her extensive knowledge in budgeting and financial management to the table to bolster the fire services and facilitate a smooth integration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) into the FWFD fold, according to the City of Fort Worth news release.
Having launched her career in 2008, Clement has built a reputation for her adept handling of statistical analysis and performance measurements in healthcare, her co-management of debt service for educational infrastructures, and her strategic input in financial planning for the City of Fort Worth since she joined in 2014, where she took on multiple financial roles and showcased her dedication to innovation, strategy, and operational excellence. Her ascent to the deputy director role underlines a consistent climb through the city's financial ranks. Clement's academic background supports her professional endeavors, holding a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minor in psychology.
Apart from her role at work, Clement nurtures her passions outside the office—she's a fitness aficionado with particular interests in pickleball and supporting her teen daughter's pursuits in tennis and music. As the city's news release reported, Clement believes strongly in teamwork, emphasizing that "no one can succeed alone" and is steadfast in serving the community and ensuring financial sustainability.
