Hawai'i Island authorities are actively seeking the public's assistance in locating 34-year-old Simon Varela from Ka‘ū, who was reported missing recently. According to Nixle, Varela was last seen on December 15, 2024, in the Hawaii Ocean View Estates subdivision.
Roughly described as having shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes, Varela is a Caucasian male, 6 feet tall, and weighs approximately 180 pounds. A gold-colored 2003 Toyota Matrix with license plates ZMF837 may be what Varela could be operating. The car, a four-door station wagon, sports a significant quantity of rust on its hood.
