Whitemyer, in turn, expressed his enthusiasm for his new role and commitment to Folsom's community, according to the city's announcement. "I am honored to have been selected as Folsom's City Manager and am eager to serve this wonderful city," Whitemyer stated. "This is a community known for its rich history, vibrant neighborhoods, and strong sense of civic pride. I look forward to working alongside the dedicated residents, businesses, City Council, and city staff to continue moving the city forward. With more than 20 years of experience in municipal governance, including 14 years as a City Manager, Whitemyer holds degrees from Brigham Young University and California State University, Stanislaus. According to the City of Folsom, he will relocate his family to Folsom and officially assume his role on March 10.
