
52-year-old Robert Loren Bacon of Byron was found dead in the Cass River near Heritage Park at 2 p.m. on Saturday, five days after he went missing. The Frankenmuth Police and WNEM reported.
Officials have indicated drowning as a preliminary cause of death, but a final conclusion awaits the Saginaw County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Frankenmuth Police and ABC12 report that Bacon was last seen last Friday near the Bavarian Inn and was reported missing on Monday, three days later.
The search for Robert Bacon involved multiple agencies, including the Frankenmuth Police, Michigan State Police, and local search and rescue teams, using drones, dogs, and dive units.
