Police responded to the calls for help, rescuing a male subject from the lake and beginning emergency life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital, according to MEDIC. The cause of death is pending official determination following further investigation.

In the course of the rescue operation, two officers sustained injuries that required medical attention. After the necessary treatment, both have been released from the hospital. Their current conditions are unknown, as the department has not provided additional details at this time.
