Colton Coach Arrested on Suspicion of Stalking and Harassing Minor in San Bernardino CountySource: SBSD - Highland Police Department

A Colton man has been taken into custody by San Bernardino deputies on allegations of stalking and harassing a minor. According to a report released by the SBSD Highland Police Department, 39-year-old self-employed training coach John Anthony Ayala is accused of sending inappropriate text messages to a 13-year-old girl and making unsolicited appearances at locations where he expected the juvenile to be.

The Highland Sheriff’s deputies responded to the complaint on December 20, 2024, following which a thorough investigation was conducted. Subsequently, a search warrant led authorities to Ayala’s home, where they seized multiple electronic devices. The suspect, previously associated with Inland Peak Performance and F1 Training in San Bernardino, was arrested and is currently being held at the Central Detention Center, the Sheriff's Department detailed.

In light of these developments, officials have issued a photograph of Ayala, under the belief that there might be more victims who have yet to come forward. The Sheriff's Department urges anyone with information connected to the case to get in touch with Deputy T. Houn at the Highland Sheriff's Station. The Department has also provided contact details for the We-Tip Hotline, encouraging anonymous tipsters to report any relevant knowledge they might hold.

The criminal charges brought against Ayala encompass PC646.9 Stalking and PC647.6 Annoying/Molesting a Minor, specific to the Penal Code designating such acts as legally reprehensible. Those in possession of further evidence or, wishing to report additional instances of misconduct have been directed to the Highland Station at (909)-425-9793, or to make an anonymous report via the We-Tip website at www.wetip.com.
