DeKalb County has opened four warming centers from 8 p.m. on Monday until on Friday morning to provide shelter from the cold. The centers are located at Frontline Response International, Tobie Grant Recreation Center, Mason Mill Recreation Center, and the Exchange Recreation Center, according to the DeKalb County.
The North DeKalb Senior/Community Center will serve as an overnight warming facility, offering hot meals, beds, and case management services through Frontline Response International. Transportation will be provided from locations like the Chamblee Library and D&K Suit City Parking Lot to ensure people can access these services, as reported by the DeKalb County.
DeKalb County fire stations are not listed as warming centers this year, except for Avondale Fire Station No. 3, which provides rides to Frontline. People seeking help with homelessness can contact DeKalb County Coordinated Entry at (404) 687-3500. For more information on warming centers, residents can visit the DeKalb County website.
