DeKalb County has opened four 24-hour warming centers from 8 p.m. on Thursday until 8 a.m. on Sunday. The centers are Frontline Response International, Tobie Grant Recreation Center, Mason Mill Recreation Center, and Exchange Recreation Center. The North DeKalb Senior/Community Center will be open for overnight stays only, according to the DeKalb County.
DeKalb County will provide transportation each morning from the North DeKalb Senior/Community Center to 24-hour locations. Frontline Response International, along with other organizations, will provide hot meals and case management services.
Transportation to Frontline International is available from locations such as Chamblee Library and Avondale Fire Station No. 3, with pickup times between 5:40 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Fire stations will serve as transportation hubs, not warming centers. For long-term shelter or housing assistance, contact the DeKalb County Coordinated Entry system at (404) 687-3500. Additional information on warming centers is available on the DeKalb County’s website.
