The Detroit Police Department is intensifying its efforts to locate Samantha Hutchins, a 16-year-old girl who vanished from the east side of Detroit. According to WWJ Newsradio, her last confirmed sighting was last Wednesday, near Willshire, Gratiot, and Outer Drive after she left her residence without consent and failed to return.
Samantha is described as having a height of 5 feet 5 inches, weighing approximately 135 pounds, with black hair styled in braids. Wearing all-black clothing on the disappearance day, she now became the focus of a city-wide search. In a plea for public assistance, Detroit’s 9th Precinct Commander John Svec urges anyone with information to come forward. Anyone having seen Hutchins or possessing knowledge about her whereabouts should call the 9th Precinct at (313) 596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
Adding to the efforts, the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons unit took action on social media. In their Facebook post, they shared an urgent message: "Please help us find missing Samantha Hutchins. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 9th Precinct at (313) 596-5940 or 911."
