The Detroit Police Department is actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Leilani Gilmore, a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing early Saturday morning. According to WWJ Newsradio, authorities have stated that Leilani left her residence on the intersection of Kentucky and Lyndon, near Livernois and the Lodge Freeway around 2:40 a.m. Her description has been provided as 5’6” in height and weighing approximately 130 lbs, last seen wearing blue bell bottom pants.
As the search continues, Detroit Police have reached out to the community for assistance. In a social media post, the Detroit Police Department's Missing appealed to the public for help. The post included a plea for anyone with information regarding Leilani's disappearance to contact the 10th Precinct at (313) 596-1040 or to dial 911. The urgency of locating a missing child is underscored by the vulnerable age and the circumstances under which she vanished, particularly in the dead of night.
