A tragic incident occurred early yesterday morning on Detroit's Interstate 94 when a 27-year-old woman was ejected from her vehicle during a crash. According to CBS News Detroit, the local woman, driving a Chevrolet Impala, lost control of the car on a ramp near Woodward Avenue before descending an embankment and ending up in a westbound interstate lane.
Michigan State Police were alerted to the crash at approximately 4:35 a.m. and discovered the woman unresponsive on the shoulder of I-94. As per WWJ Newsradio, First Lieutenant Mike Shaw confirmed that as of 11:30 a.m., the woman was still alive, although her condition was not released.
As per authorities, it also appears that the woman had not been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident, a factor that consistently proved to be a critical mistake.
