Campbell Law Alumni Association is gearing up to host a virtual legal learning session, offering a convenient opportunity for professionals to gather knowledge and earn their CLE credits without leaving their desks, Assistant Dean of External Relations Megan Sherron announced. Slated for February 4, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., this two-hour session is not just a commitment to legal expertise, but also a nod to the ongoing necessity of adaptability in the face of our ever-evolving technological landscape, which, fitting the ever-evolving landscape, the presentation provides insights into the intersection of artificial intelligence and ethics in law practice.
The kickoff presentation—scheduled from 9-10 a.m.—features Ann Ochsner ’11, from the firm White and Stradley, who will delve into "Spoliation of Evidence: What to look for, how to prove it, does the penalty serve as a deterrent?” offering general credit, while the following hour tacks towards a more technologically advanced angle, Lawyers Mutual Senior Claims Counsel Mark Scruggs ’86 will educate participants on “Ethics and the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Your Law Practice” securing attendees ethics credit, as was mentioned on Campbell's news release.
This opportunity, although an emblem of perennial learning, is exclusive in its offer; Campbell Law Alumni Association members, alongside faculty, staff, and students of Campbell Law, can participate free of charge while it extends its educational outreach and support; the cost is set at a modest fee of $50 for other interested legal minds who may be compelled to register and embrace the CLE credentials to augment their professional journey toward excellence and innovation.
