Former Golden State Warrior Adonal Foyle is parting ways with his long-term East Bay estate, a residence that he's put twenty years of personal touch into, which now graces the market at a cool $4.75 million. Located at 174 Crestview Drive in Orinda, this sprawling 5,700 square-foot property not only served as a home for Foyle but as a space for hosting and a personal retreat away from the demands of a pro basketball career. Foyle's acquisition of the property dates back to his NBA days, primarily spent with the Golden State Warriors, as per the SFGATE report.
The estate, which sits on 1.34 acres, includes six beds and eight baths. It is characterized by its Mediterranean design, an opulent infinity pool, and lush lawns, as mentioned in the listing by Cheryl Hata & Lori Legler. The property boasts a notable pool house that adds over 1,000 square feet of additional space for hosting ranging from a kitchen to a bar, and let's not forget the bespoke vineyard that Foyle himself established during the pandemic, experimenting with growing a quaint variety of vines, including Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc – even allowing a family of deer to partake in the harvesting process, according to a statement Foyle told SFGATE.
But like any substantial investment, Foyle's Orinda estate has undergone transformations to match the former Warrior's evolving needs. The home features high, exposed-beam ceilings, arches, and a primary suite that offers views from a private balcony that extends across the East Bay. All are designed to cater to an athlete's lifestyle, which includes relaxation, entertainment, and connecting seamlessly with the outdoors. Foyle, who plainly expressed his desire for a home no more than 30 minutes from key locations such as the arena, practice facility, and airport, has carved out an athlete's oasis within those geographical boundaries.
Yet, the decision to sell is rooted in a fresh chapter for Foyle, who is embarking on the adventure of fatherhood. "I’m basically downsizing to upsize," he explained in an email, citing the need for a new location to raise his family but is grateful to remain in the East Bay despite bidding farewell to Orinda, as cited by SFGATE.
