Nearly two decades have passed since Jennifer Kesse's mysterious disappearance, and her family's search for answers persists with a mix of hope and frustration. Jennifer was last seen on January 23, 2006, near her Orlando condo, and the case has remained one of the area's most enduring puzzles. "She had a meeting that morning and did not make it,” Drew told WFTV. “I called Jennifer, and it went straight to voicemail after one ring. I knew something was wrong". Jennifer's car was later found abandoned, but a surveillance video showing a person of interest near the vehicle has yielded no concrete leads on their identity.
Reflecting on the painful journey, the Kesse family shared their experience on social media, expressing their bewilderment over the lack of progress despite widespread awareness of Jennifer's case. "How can a missing person's case with such awareness not produce even a direction 19 years later is inconceivable, yet very true and we, Jennifer's family and friends, live with that very real fact day in and day out," the family posted on Facebook, as reported by Spectrum News. They have faced tribulations over the years, including a lawsuit settled in 2019 for access to police records looking for any detail that might point to their daughter's whereabouts.
The Orlando Police Department was once at the center of the investigation, but the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has since taken over. Drew Kesse remains undeterred despite the array of false leads that have come and gone.
The Kesse family and law enforcement urge anyone with information to step forward, and tips can be reported to the FDLE or by calling Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
