After an in-depth investigation, San Bernardino's Sheriff-Coroner Department announced the arrest of four individuals on charges related to the possession and trafficking of narcotics. The investigation culminated in a late-night traffic stop and consequent arrests, with the final suspect apprehended early this month.

The initial incident occurred on December 23, 2024, as deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired registration. During the stop, they discovered one of the passengers, Jessica Hernandez, had an outstanding felony warrant for the sale of narcotics. Details provided by the SBSD Central indicate a substantial amount of drugs and related paraphernalia was found, including suspected methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as digital scales and cash. Hernandez, along with two other passengers, John Guzman and Claudia Diaz, were immediately taken into custody.

A subsequent search of a suspect's home, belonging to David Preciado, resulted in further discoveries of methamphetamine and items associated with drug trafficking. As a result of the evidence obtained, the District Attorney's office filed charges, and an arrest warrant was issued. Preciado was later arrested last Sunday, a detail that comes on the heels of the deputies' report. All four suspects are currently booked at the Central Detention Center facing multiple felony charges, as reported by the SBSD Central.
