
Multiple vehicle incidents disrupted traffic on I-75 in Campbell County, Tennessee, as the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reported at least three collisions due to icy conditions on Sunday, WVLT-TV details. The incidents, which included a rollover crash southbound near mile marker 142 and two separate northbound collisions at mile markers 138 and 140, spurred response from emergency services while icy spots impeded morning travel for many.

As road surfaces turned treacherous with a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain transitioning to snow, authorities heightened their warnings to motorists, encouraging heightened caution. The Tennessee Department of Transportation took measures to mitigate the risk. THP urged travelers to remain vigilant for slippery spots, according to NewsChannel 9.

Alongside the chaos in Campbell County a crash on I-40 East near Crossville in Cumberland County was also reported by THP, however, this incident was said not to be obstructing traffic. Meanwhile, WBIR confirms that TDOT deployed salt trucks throughout Sunday to address the icy conditions on highways and interstates.
