
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit is currently investigating a shooting incident that took place in North Charlotte. The incident occurred on the 5600 block of Brookshire Blvd., where authorities responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call shortly after 7:30 p.m. yesterday. Upon arrival, officers found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC.
As they continue to piece together the circumstance surrounding the event, investigators and Crime Scene Search teams have been meticulously processing the scene and gathering physical evidence. According to a statement obtained by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, representatives from various departments, including CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, and the Charlotte Fire Department, have also been actively contributing to the investigation efforts.
The public is urged to come forward with any relevant information that could potentially aid the ongoing homicide investigation.
