The Kirkland Fire Department, in partnership with the Medic One Foundation, is offering CPR, AED, and First Aid classes to help people quickly learn life-saving skills. As Kirkland Deputy Mayor Jay Arnold said, "Emergencies can happen anywhere, and knowing CPR could be the key to saving a life," according to the City of Kirkland.

The upcoming sessions aim to provide residents with essential skills and are set to expand due to high demand. As the Deputy Mayor stated, the city is "thrilled to expand access to this vital training." Fees apply for those seeking certification from the American Heart Association: $30 for CPR/AED certification, and $60 for both CPR/AED & First Aid certification. However, classes are available at no cost for those who want to learn the skills without pursuing official certification, as stated by the City of Kirkland.

Kirkland Fire Department is offering CPR and First Aid classes for those aged 12 and older, with participants under 16 needing an adult. Classes are scheduled for January 15, 25, February 12, 22, and March 5. Pre-registration is required, and spaces may fill quickly, so sign up soon on the Kirkland city website, as reported by the City of Kirkland.
