The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has taken up the case to examine the details surrounding the officer-involved shooting. With Saint-Germain's posts reportedly showing images of marijuana, THC cartridges, and cash, investigators were driven to apply for the search warrant that initiated the ill-fated encounter, disclosed documentation from the KCSO provided. Adding complexity to the narrative, WBIR reports that Saint-Germain was sleeping when deputies entered his home, as told by his family, who also shared details of his aspirations to start a career as a delivery driver.
Documentation obtained through search warrants also unveiled that Saint-Germain planned to sell a large amount of narcotics at his school, halting these activities just before New Year's Day. Posts of a concerning nature, including one featuring a small child amidst large sums of money and a rifle within reach, were noted by authorities. Additionally, items seized from his home included firearms, ammunition, marijuana, and substances believed to be MDMA, as listed in the warrants detailed in a report by 6 News.
