Patchy fog may also obscure views before 11am. The weather is set to clear gradually, paving the way for mostly sunny skies with highs edging close to 46 degrees. The southwestern wind is expected to blow gently at around 5 mph in the afternoon.
The forecast for Tuesday indicates clear, sunny skies with temperatures soaring to approximately 52 degrees and southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph, possibly gusting as high as 20 mph. As the sun retreats, the nighttime forecast promises mostly clear skies with lows hovering around 30 degrees.
Later in the week, Thursday maintains mostly sunny skies with daytime highs estimated at 51 degrees. In a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service Morristown TN, light snow accumulations—ranging from a dusting to two inches—may affect the East Tennessee mountains and areas across the northern Plateau, Northeast Tennessee, and Southwest Virginia. This light snow is expected to form overnight into early Monday. The Outlook also asserts that the potential for widespread hazardous weather from Monday through Saturday is low, and no spotter activation is required.
