After nearly four decades of public service, Lake Havasu City bids adieu to a respected member of their police department. Jill Echelberger, whose career spanned 37 years, is entering the well-earned phase of retirement. Beginning as a Word Processor Operator in 1987, Echelberger's diligence saw her rise through the ranks, ultimately occupying the pivotal role of Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police, according to the Lake Havasu City.
The progression of her tenure is a testament to her commitment, with promotions from Records Clerk to Administrative Specialist II, a title she assumed in June 2007. Lake Havasu Police Chief Troy Stirling is quoted in a statement made by the city's official website, saying, "Jill, on behalf of the entire organization, thank you for your hard work and your kindness. As you step into this exciting new chapter of retirement, we wish you all the best. Whether that’s traveling, spending time with loved ones, or simply relaxing. You will be greatly missed but we are very excited for you."
Lake Havasu City Manager Jess Knudson echoed the sentiment, recognizing Echelberger for her lasting legacy within the community. As per Lake Havasu City, Knudson said, "Jill, your dedication and 37 years of service to Lake Havasu City have left a lasting legacy. Your commitment, expertise, and kindness have impacted countless lives, and you will be deeply missed. Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, and best wishes for this exciting new chapter!"
