The Las Vegas Aces are stepping up to support those affected by the devastating wildfires sweeping through the Los Angeles area. In partnership with the Los Angeles Sparks, the Aces are hosting a donation drive to collect essential supplies for the victims. Tomorrow, from noon to 5 p.m., the Aces will open their headquarters in Henderson to accept donations. This collaboration aims to provide direct assistance to those displaced or impacted by the fires.
In an unyielding spirit of community support, the Aces headquarters at 1415 Raiders Way in Henderson will become a collection point for various items desperately needed by those in the affected areas. News 3 LV reports that urged donations include bottled water, non-perishable food, toiletries, and baby necessities like diapers and formula. Critical safety and comfort items such as N95 masks, hand sanitizer, new blankets, air purifiers, and first aid kits will also be gathered. Pet owners haven't been forgotten either, with a call out for pet food.
Once collected, these critical supplies will be quickly transported to Los Angeles, demonstrating a rapid response to an ongoing crisis. The Aces are working in sync with the Sparks to ensure that the donations are distributed efficiently and effectively through the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, as per Fox 5 Vegas. These items can be dropped off at the loading dock behind Aces headquarters where volunteers will be ready to receive and sort the donations.
With more than 44,000 acres consumed by the wildfires, and upwards of 9,000 homes and businesses destroyed, the impact of this natural disaster has been both vast and devastating. Around 150,000 individuals have been forced to evacuate, highlighting an urgent need for aid and a swift community response.
