
A 19-year-old man has been sentenced for his role in a block party shooting in Wynne, Arkansas, that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. Tommie Frost, a resident of Marion, Ark., entered a guilty plea to charges of second-degree murder and firearm possession connected to the April 13 incident, which claimed the life of 27-year-old Varian Campbell. According to WREG, the attack took place near Williams Avenue and Martin Luther King Street around 10 p.m., with victims' ages ranging from 24 to 49, and some being struck by vehicles in the chaotic aftermath.
Frost was arrested by the Arkansas State Police along with three others on April 16, three days following the deadly shooting. In his sentencing, Frost received 20 years for the murder charge and an additional 10 years for the firearm possession charge, the sentences to run concurrently as per the Arkansas State Police. The details of the plea and sentencing were reported by Arkansas Online, noting the other three suspects— "Quaverius Milon, Carl Washington, and Cameron Crawford"—are still pending court dates.
Each of the four men had originally faced charges including first-degree murder, nine counts of first-degree battery, and nine counts of engaging in violent criminal group activity, as per Arkansas Online.
