The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested in connection with a shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead in Northwest Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred in the early hours of December 30, 2022, when police found Jhonatan Guzman Hernandez, from Upper Marlboro, MD, with gunshot wounds. He was discovered after officers were called to the scene at around 2:24 am to investigate gunshots on the 1400 block of Clifton Street, NW, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
Hernandez was located in the rear alley of the 2400 block of 15th Street, Northwest; DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel found him with no signs of life, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. After an investigation over a year, officials announced that 21-year-old Alfred Steven Paulino-Del Rosario of Silver Spring, MD, was taken into custody.
According to the original police statement, Paulino-Del Rosario is charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
