
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a stabbing incident that turned deadly in the Dupont Circle area. The event took place last Monday and was reported to law enforcement at about 3:58 p.m. Officers from the Second District joined forces with the United States Park Police in responding to the emergency calls.
Dominique Ratiff, a 36-year-old resident of Southeast, was the unfortunate individual found unresponsive at the scene, as per the official MPD release. Suffering from a wound received from what appears to have been a stabbing, Ratliff was rushed to a local hospital. Despite all efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead by the medical staff.
A call has been put out to the public by the Metropolitan Police for assistance in the case. They are urging anyone with information related to the incident to step forward. Offering up to $25,000 as a reward, the department hopes that the incentive will lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this violent crime occurring within the jurisdiction of the District of Columbia.
