The Metropolitan Police Department is turning to the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery that took place in a Northwest neighborhood. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, saw an individual try to force entry into a residence on the 1900 block of Calvert Street, demanding property from the occupants as they were entering the home.

In the aftermath, footage from the scene's surveillance cameras was released in an effort to track down the perpetrator. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect fled without obtaining any items, after the victims refused to comply with the demands. The video available via a YouTube link, depicts a clear image of the suspected individual.

Community members with any information that could lead to the identification of this suspect are encouraged to contact the authorities. Furthermore, a reward of up to $1,000 has been put forward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for this, or any other crime within the District of Columbia.
